Full course description
Instructor: Bryce Lankard
Students in this photography course will develop and define their vision and personal style, whether by subject choice, artistic technique, or other conceptual or presentation methods. We’ll review the work of established masters and emerging talents to look deeply into what makes a photographer’s work distinctive, successful, and enduring. And together we’ll edit and critique students’ works-in-progress to bring personal styles into focus. Using new work, images from an ongoing project, or existing materials, each participant will create a portfolio of 12–20 images that demonstrates their singular vision, as well as an artist’s statement. This cohesive body of work would be suitable to present at portfolio reviews and to editors, art directors, and galleries. (16 hours / Intermediate)
This class will meet Tuesdays 7:00 to 9:00 pm ET.
